Pigment Red 48:4 is a manganese-complex dye that is used in printing ink and paint systems. It has the following properties: 

• Color: Slightly bluish red shades
• Light fastness: Full tone of 7 and tint tone of 6 
• Heat stability: Stable up to 240°C 
• Resistance: Resistant to xylene, ethanol, ethyl acetate, MEK, water, 5% HCL, 5% NaOH, and soap solution 
• Physical properties: Specific gravity of 1.6 gms/cc, oil absorption of 64 g/100 gm, pH of 6-8, moisture of 1% max, and water soluble matter of 1.5%
